Korean Sports & Leisure has wrapped up the first session of its ‘2026 Sports Dream Day’ program, an initiative designed to bring multicultural families closer through sports.
On May 12, the organization announced that the first event took place on May 10 at two venues: the Badminton Hera Gymnasium in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, and the Tancheon Sports Complex, home of Seongnam FC.
‘Sports Dream Day’ is a social contribution program run by Korean Sports & Leisure to promote the public value of the sports promotion lottery business. The first session was organized for the Month of Families, targeting culturally underprivileged children, teenagers, and their families by providing hands-on sports experiences and the opportunity to watch professional sports.

Fifteen multicultural families (about 50 people) who had never attended professional sports matches before participated, along with employees of Korean Sports & Leisure and lottery outlet owners. The participants engaged in various recreational activities at the Badminton Hera Gymnasium, including a mini sports festival and an OX quiz on preventing illegal sports gambling.
In the afternoon, the group moved to the Tancheon Sports Complex, where a Seongnam FC home game was being held. They took part in a stadium tour and an escort kids activity, and then watched the professional football match between Seongnam FC and Jeonnam Dragons live.
Additionally, each family received a sports kit to encourage them to continue playing sports in their daily lives after the event.
A representative from Korean Sports & Leisure stated, “To celebrate the Month of Families, we planned this event to strengthen family bonds through sports and create special memories. We will continue to work hard to create an environment where people from all walks of life can enjoy sports and spread a healthy sports culture.”

The ‘Sports Dream Day’ program is scheduled to run three times this year. In the second half of the year, it will be expanded to include regions outside the capital area, targeting culturally underprivileged families in more diverse regions.
