Avangard head coach Guy Boucher commented on the drone attack on Yaroslavl, where his team was playing against local Lokomotiv in the 2025/2026 Kontinental Hockey League playoff series. Yaroslavl emerged victorious in the matchup.
“Again, it’s an unpleasant, painful defeat. Plus, we’re stuck in Yaroslavl, hearing drones flying nearby. Of course, I’ve never seen anything like this in my life before. There were some flashes… Quite an experience. It’s one thing when it happens far away, but here you see it with your own eyes,” Boucher said, as reported by Championat correspondent Lev Lukin.
