Anne van der Breggen has claimed victory in the sixth stage of the 2026 Vuelta a España Femenina, which started in Gijón and finished on the demanding climb of Les Praeres. The win propels her into the overall race lead just before the queen stage.

The Dutch rider from Team SD Worx-Protime was the first to crest the brutal Les Praeres, prevailing over Paula Blasi and Marion Bunel in a thrilling final ascent.

The penultimate stage of the Vuelta a España Femenina completely reshuffled the battle for the coveted red jersey, with the day’s three protagonists emerging as the main contenders.
